We're back in a more typical winter weather pattern, but last weekend was a brief taste of spring. Grant took advantage of the moderate temperatures to take a peek in the hives. Thankfully, he reports the hives are looking strong overall. Whew!
The queens should start laying shortly. They typically begin in February when the days are growing longer. They start out slowly now, but by spring a good queen will lay 1500 eggs per day. It won't be long until spring is here, and the girls can get back to work.
